With its rich textures and golden hues, `mirtillo's wallpaper beautifully evokes the style of Gustav Klimt. Add to that her use of characters from the classic series, Maison Ikkoku, she delivers something you definitely don't see everyday and can't afford to miss!

Me old? Neeeever...have you seen my Depends? Did I post a link to my artwork somewhere? I can't remember (maybe I AM getting old!).
I don't draw anymore (haven't since 1997), but I was 95% self-taught through books. My grandmother, who was an artist, gave me this old, huge series of notebooks from the 1940's that was part of the Famous Artists Mail Correspondence Course. They were spectacular for learning. If you want to learn to draw people, study Andrew Loomis (his writings on composition are true classics) and Burne Hogarth. Once you learn the technical aspects, then manipulate the style for anime/manga. That's the old-school method ;)
